My real-world experience is that I use a focal length of between 40 and 70mm to get a normal framing when I’m at 6-10ft from the camera and teleprompter. Shooting FHD I’ve not experienced any problems at the wide-angle end of the zoom range.

If you are filming with a second smartphone, it will attach to the back of the teleprompter. This is the ideal situation because you will appear to be looking straight into the camera as you read the script. This lets you place your camera lens directly behind the reflection of your script.
